Hello All,

As many of you have noticed, we have increased our social media efforts at Cheviot. It is becoming more and more important for us as a brand to connect with consumers and industry partners, build trust and credibility, and drive business into showrooms.

I also ask that you encourage your customers and your customers’ customers to like and follow the pages. We will be posting regularly and want to remain front-of-mind with as many people as possible. Some ideas which we are rolling out at present include:

  • Weekly articles focusing on bathroom design. Our recent article, Classic vs Modern: How to Achieve Balance in a Bathroom Update was particularly well received.
  • Behind the scenes peeks on how we do things at Cheviot. Our recent Facebook post showing the product photography process garnered over 450 likes!
  • Call outs to interior designers who tag our products on social media. Alison Kandler Interior Design is a good example. Showrooms should encourage designers to tag us!
  • Call outs to showrooms who have our products on display. This is a recent post from the Stover Sales Design Centre in Atlanta.

We will be developing more ideas as we move forward and are always open to suggestions!

WARRANTY

Limited Product Warranty
Our fixtures are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year. Cast iron claw foot bathtubs carry a three months warranty when used for commercial purposes. Any parts that are proven defective by Our inspection in material or workmanship and have not been subjected to abusive treatment or faulty installation, will be replaced free of charge. but with no allowance for labor. Other expenses or losses. We make no other warranties. express or implied. including that the product sold is merchantable, or fit for a particular use. Under no circumstances shall we be made liable for special or consequential damages, loss or expense of any nature whatsoever.

RETURNS

Returns
A return goods authorization must be obtained prior to any merchandise being shipped back to Cheviot Products. Returns made for reasons other than our shipping error or defects will be subject to a 25% restocking charge. Transportation costs for returns must be paid by the buyer.

Please Note: Requesting an RGA only allows you to return the product and has no relevance nor does it guarantee that a credit will be passed. Any credit to be applied will be determined by the Manufacturer after the inspection of the item/s. All products must be shipped back “Traceable and Insured” and neither Decorative Home Specialists LLC nor the Brand can be held responsible for any damage or loss when shipping back to the factory.

CANCELLATION

CANCELING AN ORDER
Due to the custom nature of many of the products offered on decorativehomespecialists.com, custom orders that have been put into production cannot be cancelled. If you would like us to see if we can cancel your order, please contact Decorative Home Specialists’ Customer Service right away at 1-888-373-1784 or email us at CustomerService@DecorativeHomeSpecialists.com. We will contact the manufacturer and do whatever we can to accommodate your request. By tapping PLACE MY ORDER, you acknowledge that you have read and that you agree to all of the Brand’s policies listed on each Brand’s Product Page.

All custom orders are NON-CANCELABLE / NON-REFUNDABLE and must be paid in full at time of purchase.

Cheviot Products Standardized Freight Program

We Ship to the USA via FedEx Parcel and Freight Services plus our custom brokers for clearance.

Cheviot Products is pleased to provide the following standard freight rates for orders shipping to the United States (excluding Alaska and Hawaii). Rates include any residential delivery or power lift-gate services which may be required.

Bathtubs – $148.00 (no additional crating or hole drilling charges will be applied)
Vessel, Undermount, and Drop-ln Sinks – $25.00
Pedestal Lavatories and Metal Leg Consoles – $50.00
Ceramic Leg Consoles – $140.00
Toilets – $140.00
Bath and Lavatory Faucets – $20.00

Receiving Goods
It is important to check the accuracy of your order and the condition of the goods immediately when received. Doing this can help to avoid unnecessary misunderstanding, delays or inconvenience.

DO NOT allow any products to be installed that are thought to be unacceptable in any way. We take the view that any product installed will be deemed acceptable by the customer.

Claims and Damages
All goods are inspected before leaving the warehouse, and delivered to the carrier in good order. Shipments become the property of the consignee who assumes the risk of loss or damage in-transit. All claims arising therefrom must be immediately made to the carrier by the consignee. Other claims for variances or shortages will not be considered unless presented within five days after receipt of goods. Buyer agrees to make all claims for goods damaged or lost in transit against the carrier.
